Lake Crescent Pedal and Paddle
Guided all-day Olympic National Park kayak and bike tour
8:00 a.m.-4:15 p.m.
The Lake Crescent Pedal and Paddle is our Olympic National Park-focused tour. In the morning, enjoy the crystalline water of Lake Crescent by boat and learn about the area’s cultural and geological history easily visible from the tour route. The afternoon will involve a leisurely ride along the Spruce Railroad Trail, with incredible views of the highlight features around Lake Crescent. At midday, we will break for a delicious picnic lunch from a local Port Angeles bakery. We will coordinate all the details and provide all the equipment and expert guides for this full-day adventure. The trip starts at 8 a.m. and ends at 4:15 p.m.
The Paddle
Explore the largest, deepest, and most beautiful lake within Olympic National Park. At 12 miles long, 620 feet deep and surrounded by towering mountains, including the beautiful Storm King and Pyramid peaks, this glacially-carved lake takes on an intense blue hue thanks to low levels of nitrogen, which limits the growth of algae. Keep an eye out for bald eagles, loons, and a variety of songbirds as we paddle the crystalline waters. Also watch for blacktail deer, which are often spotted grazing along the shoreline.

The Pedal
The Spruce Railroad Trail is a paved multi-use path following the old Spruce Railway route along Lake Crescent’s northeastern shoreline. This route features minimal elevation gain and almost no technical obstacles, making it a great sightseeing ride. We begin the ride at East Beach Road for the 2.5-hour tour, with the distance varying based on the pace of the group. Riders can expect to see Mount Storm King and Lake Crescent Lodge across the lake, and will have the option of a short walk to Devil's Punchbowl.
