Towering trees and epic views

Get ready to ride a masterfully built ribbon of single-track trail among the towering trees of a temperate rainforest, with opportunities for spectacular views of the Olympic Mountains to the south, and Vancouver Island, British Columbia, to the north. 

This trail, and the optional spur trails, offer fun and challenging terrain for a wide range of riders, whether new to their mountain biking journey or a seasoned rider. Expect a six to eight-mile ride with about 800 feet of elevation gain.

Things to know

  • Suitable for ages 10+

  • Duration: 3 to 3.5 hours total (2 to 2.5 hours riding time)

  • Fitness level: 3/5

  • Difficulty level: 2+/5

  • Required experience: Recent cycling with confidence in the basic skills of mounting/dismounting, shifting, and braking, and good baseline fitness. Mountain biking experience is a plus, but is not required. A mini-lesson covering the basics of mountain biking may be included pre-tour, depending on skill levels and experience of the group.

Things to bring

  • Closed-toe shoes are required

  • Comfortable clothing, preferably moisture-wicking

  • Snacks/Drinking Water (we have options at the shop)

  • Sunglasses or clear glasses

  • Light windbreaker/raincoat
